TEHRAN – Deputy police chief Ahmad Reza Radan has said 40 criminals who had been trying to create insecurity in Zahedan were arrested on Friday.

“One day after the bomb blasts in Zahedan city (Sistan and Balouchestan Province), certain individuals wanted to create insecurity in this city but the police in cooperation with people arrested them,” Radan stated.
On Thursday, two suicide bomb attacks claimed 27 lives and left at least 300 people injured in the southeastern city of Zahedan.
Unfortunately, two police officers were killed during the incident and 10 other who were injured are in critical condition, Radan noted.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said there is no security problem in the city.
He also warned foreign countries which criminals use their lands as a safe haven for terrorist activities, adding Iran reserves the right to track down criminals outside national borders.
Unfortunately, Iran’s neighbors are not firm in their decision to deal with such criminals, he lamented
